I'm a test coordinator at CHOICE, focusing on testing fridges in our NATA accredited thermal lab. Developing unusual, intuitive and creative tests and verification methods to test the performance of products has always intrigued me, and it speaks to my love of design and engineering.
I hold a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and am currently a PhD student at Western Sydney University. I'm working on developing a smart multi-functional nanocomposite structure using additive manufacturing techniques. My background is in design and manufacturing of electricity meters and domestic refrigerators, and I've also managed a commercial refrigeration testing lab and worked as a compliance engineer. I am an adept CAD and CAE engineer with experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
I've been a full member of the Institute of Engineers Australia (IEA) for 11 years, the Project Management Institute (PMI) for six years, as well as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for six years.
CHOICE makes a difference in consumers' lives by demonstrating which products are best for their lifestyle, circumstances and budget, and I really like the clarity and openness of the job and feeling like a member of the family while I'm at work.
Outside of CHOICE I enjoy martial arts and have done both aikido and hapkido, and also like CNC machines, specifically 3D printers and routers. I'm now a father of four boys and love running around with them and showing them things on my 3D printer.
